In New York City, a young person can fall in love with drumline in the fifth grade and lose access by the sixth — because their middle school doesn't have a program. It happens again in high school. And again after graduation.
Brooklyn Steppers exists to make sure the pipeline doesn't break. The Saturday Program at PS 139 is always there, regardless of which school a student attends. The Pro Line proves the pathway leads somewhere real. Alumni like Michael Mendoza (STOMP), Ralph Nader (Disneyland), and Harvey Thompson (NC A&T) are the record.
