Why We’re Asking

The alumni network is the institution.

Every alum of BK Steppers or X-Factor is proof that the pathway works. Where you are today — in the industry, in another field, still playing, or long past the sticks — is part of the story we’re building for the next generation.

Stay in the loop

Occasional updates on the organization — new programs, alumni doing extraordinary things, chances to see current students perform. No spam. No pressure. Just news worth having.

Reconnect with peers

You’re not the only one who came up through this tradition. As we build the alumni network, we’ll create ways for alumni to reconnect with each other — events, reunions, informal gatherings.

Some alumni want to mentor current students. Some want to perform with the Pro Line again. Some want to give back financially. Some want to just know what’s happening. All of it is welcome — and optional.

You’ll be added to our alumni-specific communication list, which is separate from general BK Steppers outreach. This is where alumni-only updates go.

You get a personal welcome from Antonio

Antonio Thompson, our Executive Director, personally reviews every alumni reconnection. You’ll hear from him directly to say thanks for reconnecting.

Occasional updates, not constant emails

Expect roughly quarterly updates — news from the organization, alumni features, invitations to public performances, upcoming reunions or events. That’s the pace. You can unsubscribe at any time.
