The BK Steppers Pro Line is our professional drumline for galas, corporate events, and upscale productions. The X-Factor Drumline brings youth-ensemble energy to community and school events. Both draw from a 37-year cultural institution rooted in HBCU show-style and drum corps marching arts.
All three draw from the same 37-year tradition. They differ in performer age, level of experience, and the kind of event they’re best suited for.
Every booking is tailored to the event. Common formats include:
Every booking follows the same basic path. Here’s what to expect.
A clear performance agreement protects both sides. Here’s the general framework — exact terms are confirmed in your contract.
Because reserving a performance date takes the ensemble off the calendar for other bookings, our cancellation policy scales with proximity to the event.
Pricing depends on ensemble size, performance format, event date, venue, and travel requirements. We provide a tailored quote after learning about your event on the initial call.
Every proposal is transparent about what’s included — performance fees, travel if applicable, equipment, and any additional production requirements.
The earlier the better. High-demand dates — spring gala season, fall corporate event season, cultural holidays, and weekends in general — typically book 3–6 months in advance.
If your event is sooner than that, get in touch anyway. We’ve moved fast for well-organized clients before.
Yes. The Pro Line performs at events across the tri-state area, and we’ve done bookings further afield. Travel costs and logistics are factored into the proposal for out-of-area events.
Pro Line configurations typically range from small ensemble (6–8 performers) to full drumline (12–16+). The right size depends on your venue, format, and desired impact. We recommend the configuration during the initial conversation.
Yes. The Pro Line performs with its own instruments and marching hardware. Sound reinforcement, staging, and lighting are typically the venue’s or event producer’s responsibility, but we can advise on production requirements during planning.
Yes. BK Steppers maintains general liability insurance appropriate for public performances at commercial and private venues. Certificates of Insurance naming your venue or organization as additional insured are available on request as part of the booking process.
It depends on the format and configuration. A featured stage performance needs a performance area sized to the ensemble. A processional needs a clear path. Ceremonial appearances can work in tighter footprints. We advise on space during planning — send us your venue and we’ll tell you what will work.
Performance fees are commercial services provided by BK Steppers, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization. Fees support the pathway that develops the young people who eventually earn spots in the Pro Line.
Separately, if your organization wishes to make a charitable contribution to BK Steppers in addition to your booking, we can facilitate that — learn about giving here.
Share your event details and we’ll respond within two business days with next steps. The more you can share upfront — date, venue, format, headcount — the faster we can put together a real proposal.
Time-sensitive event? Note it in the form and we’ll prioritize your inquiry.
